Jingumae – a peaceful living environment, an oasis in the busy city<\/h5>\n

Shibuya-ku Jingumae includes the area centered on JR Harajuku Station<\/a> and Meiji Jingumae Station<\/a> on the Tokyo Metro Line.<\/p>\n

Omotesando<\/a>, Takeshita Street<\/a> and Meiji Street in Harajuku are known for being stylish and cute. Omotesando<\/a> is one of the most pleasant neighborhoods in Tokyo. As a major luxury shopping destination, it is also home to some of the most amazing examples of \u201chuman-scale\u201d modern architecture that you will find anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n

Harajuku Station<\/a> is the oldest surviving wooden station in Tokyo, built in 1924 (Taisho 13). The historic building was taken down in 2020 and replaced with a more modern station.<\/p>\n

This area is known not only as the birthplace of fashion, but also as a foodie haven.<\/p>\n

Meiji Shrine<\/a> (\u660e\u6cbb\u795e\u5bae, Meiji Jing\u016b), is a Shinto shrine in Shibuya, Tokyo, that is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji<\/a> and his wife, Empress Sh\u014dken<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meiji Shrine<\/a> is located in a forest that covers an area of 70 hectares (170 acres). This area is covered by an evergreen forest that consists of 120,000 trees of 365 different species, which were donated by people from all parts of Japan when the shrine was established. The forest is visited by many as a recreation and relaxation area in the center of Tokyo.<\/p>\n
