Tokyo Dome: Japan’s Landmark Multipurpose Stadium
Opened in 1989, Tokyo Dome is Japan’s first all-weather multipurpose stadium and the home ground of the Yomiuri Giants professional baseball team. Its iconic white dome, once nicknamed the “Big Egg,” spans about 46,755 square meters. It can seat around 43,500 for baseball games and up to 55,000 for other events, such as concerts and sports tournaments.
